For decades, Fred Key was a constant presence on Friday nights supporting the football program at North Cobb High School. Rain or shine, home or away, winning season or rebuilding year—Fred was there. In fact, Fred attended an incredible 425 consecutive North Cobb football games. That kind of dedication goes beyond fandom. It’s love for a team, a school, and the young men who wear the uniform.
Players noticed him. Coaches counted on seeing him. Families recognized him in the stands. Over time, Fred became part of the fabric of North Cobb football—one of those rare supporters whose loyalty quietly strengthens a program year after year.
The Fred Key Memorial Golf Tournament was created to honor that legacy.
This event brings together the same community Fred supported so faithfully—alumni, families, local businesses, and friends of the program—to invest in the future of North Cobb football. Proceeds from the tournament help provide resources, equipment, and opportunities for the student-athletes who carry the tradition forward.

This year’s tournament will be held at beautiful Cobblestone Golf Course on the tranquil shores of Lake Acworth.
Format
Ours is a four-person scramble format, making it a fun and competitive day on the course for golfers of all skill levels.
Fees
Secure your spot on the course by registering a foursome for $600, or join the field as an individual player for $150.
