New Fund Raising Opportunity
North Cobb Touchdown Club is excited to announce that we are entering into a new fund raising program with a local Nationwide Insurance Representative that will not only benefit the club, but may benefit its member families by lowering their insurance costs!  Here are the details of this exciting new program.

NCTC has agreed to help find and provide local consumers that are willing to obtain an auto, home, life or business quote through Nationwide Insurance. The local NW rep will make a donation to the organization for each quote that generated through the program.  This donation will increase on any policy that is written based on the quotes.

We will receive $8 for an auto and/or home quote, $10 if both are quoted. An additional $20 will be donated per policy written!
Example, member receives auto and home quote and switches both to NW, resulting in $50 donation. Example, member agrees to receive an auto quote, no switch… Results in a $8.00 donation for club.  Example, member, agrees to receive a quote for both home and auto, no switch. Results, $10 donation.  The following are the requirements to participate in the program:

1.        The member agrees to the fact that they are willing to obtain a quote from Nationwide Robert Gresham Agency.

2.        The member must be 25 years old and cannot be a current Nationwide Customer.

3.        Must reside in the State of Georgia.

4.        Only a licensed agent from Robert Gresham’s Agency will contact you to obtain the necessary information to provide the insurance quote. Not another Nationwide Agency.

5.        The agent will email or mail them the quote and then follow up with a call or email to verify receipt and to see if there are interested in pursuing a purchase of the NW policy.

6.        Should you choose to purchase a NW policy; Nationwide and Rob’s agency will further contribute $20 per policy.

Supporters of our organization need not be limited to those in the NCTC, co-workers, and Georgia resident relatives and even Facebook or Twitter friends can support our fund-raising efforts by participating.  (One donation per household)

A link has been established in order to take advantage of this opportunity.  Please go to www.civicpartner.net and fill out the information to start the process.
Again, this is a pilot program and we would like to see it succeed for our fund-raising efforts and NW.  they benefit by favorably promoting its brand and supporting the local community and growing their customer base.  This is something you will never see a 1-800-insurance company do.

My name is Cheri Good and I will be running the quotes and doing the follow up.  You can call me at 404-512-3960 if you have any questions or just want to get started.  Please mention that you are with the North Cobb Warrior Football.  Have a busy schedule?  Feel free to email me if that would be easier for you.  Goodc6@nationwide.com

Thank you!

A VERY IMPORTANT WORD ABOUT PARKING

THERE IS NO PARKING OR DROPPING OFF PLAYERS INSIDE THE MAIN GATE BY THE LOWER CONCESSION STAND!

NO EXCEPTIONS!

Please also note that marked Handicapped Spaces are for vehicles with a Handicap Tag only.  Vehicles parked illegally will be towed.

The area outside the weight room and near the gate is too congested.  It is dangerous.  This is a SAFETY ISSUE, the potential for injury has increased.  Please note that there are many other sports besides football that also use this parking lot in the evenings.

Immediately after pulling into the North Cobb parking lot, TURN TO THE LEFT (not to the right) and go into the large parking lot to drop off and pick up your players.  There is room to maneuver your vehicle and pull into a parking spot to wait for your player.

DO NOT BLOCK the driveway (by sitting in your idling car) AT ANY POINT IN TIME – keep a clear pathway in/out of the Football complex for emergency vehicles. Never leave your car unattended (not even for a minute).  In the event of an emergency – minutes matter!

This is a serious issue and a safety concern for our football program.

Thank you very much for your cooperation in this matter!

2011 IMPACT INFORMATION

Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing (ImPACT)

North Cobb High School is currently implementing an innovative program for our student-athletes.  This program will assist our medical staff in evaluating and treating head injuries (e.g., concussion).  In order to better manage concussions sustained by our student-athletes, we have acquired a software tool called ImPACT (Immediate Post Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing).  ImPACT is a computerized exam utilized in many professional, collegiate, and high school sports programs across the country to successfully diagnose and manage concussions.  If an athlete is believed to have suffered a head injury during competition, ImPACT is used to help determine the severity of head injury and when the injury has fully healed.

The computerized exam is given to athletes before beginning contact sport practice or competition.  This noninvasive test is set up in “video-game” type format and takes about 15-20 minutes to complete.  It is simple, and actually many athletes enjoy the challenge of taking the test. Essentially, the ImPACT test is a preseason physical of the brain.  It tracks information such as memory, reaction time, speed, and concentration.  It, however, is not an IQ test.

If a concussion is suspected, the athlete will be required to retake the test.  Both the preseason and post-injury test data is given to a local doctor, to help evaluate the injury.  The information gathered can also be shared with your family doctor.  The test data will enable these health professionals to determine when return-to-play is appropriate and safe for the injured athlete.  If an injury of this nature occurs to your child, you will be promptly contacted with all the details.
